Play skribbl.io with friends
Use a private room and share its invite with friends. Private visibility keeps it out of the public list; anyone who receives the invite may still join.

Research notes
The reviewed homepage exposes Create Private Room and a Private visibility setting. The client reports a two-player start minimum. The player dropdown reaches 20, also named in the 9 November 2022 News. These are source observations, not a completed friends' match.
Private room or public lobby
A private room gives you the invite link and the full settings panel, including custom words. A public room is faster if you only want to add one friend to strangers, and the public list can be filtered with “Filter rooms by name here...”.
There is no account, so your friend does not need a login. They need the link and a name for the scoreboard.
Questions
Can more than 8 friends play?
Yes, up to the host’s cap. The control allows 20. Fandom’s “8” is the public-room default, not the maximum.
Do friends need the same language?
The room has one language setting. Everyone in that room shares it.
