Custom words to paste into skribbl.io
Paste a comma-separated list in the host's Custom words box. Check the published input rules and enable Use custom words only for your chosen theme.
Research notes
On 13 October 2026 the live Custom words textarea had maxlength=20000 and an English placeholder saying 20,000 characters. The older translation dictionary in game.js still contains 10,000. These are conflicting client texts, not a verified server-side limit. The short lists here stay under 10,000.

Add a custom list
Create a private room, open the settings, and paste into Custom words. Use at least ten items, each 1–32 characters, separated by commas. Check “Use custom words only” if you want to exclude the built-in pool, then have the host start with at least two players.
The current input allows 20,000 characters; the old translation says 10,000. Stay under 10,000 including separators for a conservative list. A placeholder describes input rules, but it does not prove how the server validates borderline inputs.

Themed lists on this site
Pokémon, anime, video games, Disney, movies, memes, tabletop, and Hindi each have a page. Pokémon, Valorant agents, League champions, and D&D monsters come from cited public APIs. Other themes are labeled as community-bank selections or independently curated examples.
Questions
Why does my list not start?
Check separators, item count, per-entry length, and the custom-only setting. A game also needs at least two players. The not-working guide distinguishes these checks from room connection errors.
Can custom words be phrases?
Spaces can remain inside a prompt. Keep each entry within the published 32-character rule and separate entries with commas.
